| | | Biodiesel Seaward Bound!
We are pleased to announce that from mid-June until mid-October 2006, one of the M/V Anna Desgagnés' 4 generators will be fuelled by B20 biodiesel (a blend of 20% biodiesel and 80% petrodiesel). This project, which was made possible with the collaboration of Transport Canada, Environment Canada, Maritime Innovation, Sine Nomine Group and Transport Desgagnés, will provide the opportunity to measure the reduction of polluting and Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions. Furthermore, it will also evaluate the economic, technical and operational advantages that this biofuel can bring to the maritime industry.
This innovative project undoubtedly shows Transport Desgagnés' commitment to protecting the environment.
