Honors and awards
1989
AMVER (Automated Mutual-Assistance Vessel Rescue System) Award for the exceptional contribution of the M/V Mathilda Desgagnés to maritime safety.
1993
St. Lawrence Award from the St. Lawrence Economic Development Council (SODES) for remarkable services that allowed the tanker Rio Orinoco to be recommissioned after it ran aground on the reefs off Anticosti Island in October 1990 with 9,000 tons of asphalt in its holds.
1995
Quebec Tourism Award received by its subsidiary Croisières Nordik Inc. in the following categories: tourism innovation, Hydro-Québec tourism development, and tourism promotion.
1995
Forum Marketing Grand Prix Publicité received by its subsidiary Croisières Nordik in the following categories: display advertising, magazine advertising, newspaper advertising, and provincial and national campaigns.
1996
Tourism Promotion Award for the promotion of Duplessis County by its subsidiary Croisières Nordik.
1996-1998
Groupe Desgagnés generates hundreds of jobs and substantial economic spinoffs in Quebec and the rest of Canada. Its management abilities rank it among the "50 best managed private companies in Canada".
1997
AMVER Award from the U.S. Coast Guard for the outstanding contribution of Groupe Desgagnés to international maritime safety.
2000
Vision Award ("Visionary Company 2000 - transportation industry") from the Ordre des comptables agréés de Québec and the Board of Trade and Industry of Metropolitan Quebec.
2001
The firm's four vessels that travel most often to the United States - the M/T Maria Desgagnés, the M/T Thalassa Desgagnés, the M/V Amélia Desgagnés and the M/V Catherine Desgagnés - receive the new Qualship 21 Certificate from the U.S. Coast Guard. Less than 10% of foreign ships hold this certificate identifying high quality vessels.

January 2001 – Recipient of “Job creators Tribute” given at the 500 biggest companies Gala.
2002
Quebec Grand Prix of Tourism 2002. Subsidiary Relais Nordik takes the gold in the "Transportation and Travel" category for its improved passenger services aboard the M/V Nordik Express.
2002
M/T Maria Desgagnés receives Qualship 21 Certificate from U.S. Coast Guard. This certificate is given to the vessels that travel most often to the United States.
2003
For a second year, Relais Nordik takes the gold in the Quebec Grand Prix of Tourism 2003 in the "Transportation and Travel" category. This year, the company is recognized for its efforts to promote cruises on the Lower North Shore aboard the M/V Nordik Express at the local, regional, national and international level.
2003
M/V Catherine Desgagnés, M/V Mélissa Desgagnés as well as M/T Véga Desgagnés receive the QUALSHIP 21.
2007
The M/V Nordik Express receives the AMVER (Automated Mutual-Assistance Vessel Rescue System) Award from the U.S. Coast Guard, which is given to vessels for their outstanding contribution to international maritime safety.
2008
Groupe Desgagnés wins the 2007 St. Lawrence Award discerned by the St.Lawrence Economic Development Council (SODES) for its fleet renewal efforts.
2014
February 2014 – Groupe Desgagnés and its subsidiary Transport Desgagnés were respectively granted, for the M/V Camilla Desgagnés vessel, a Level 3, “Gold” and “Silver” performance certificate from Recyc-Québec’s “ICI ON RECYCLE!” program.

April 2014 – Mr. Louis-Marie Beaulieu, FCPA, FCA, C. Dir., Chairmen of the board and Chief Executive Officer of Groupe Desgagnés is the recipient of the “Academy of Grands Québécois 2014” in the economic sector.

June 2014 - Transport Desgagnés is the recipient of the first “Maritime Award of the Americas” in the category “Best Practices in Environmental Waste Management in Commercial Shipping“. This award acknowledges successful practices that demonstrate excellence, innovation, and sustainability in the Maritime and Port Sectors.

Granted for the very first time, the prize was presented to Transport Desgagnés by the Secretariat of the Inter-American Committee on Ports (CIP) of the Organization of American States (OAS) and the North American Marine Environment Protection Association (NAMEPA), at an award ceremony held on June 18th in Washington, DC, as part of the Inter-American Forum of Successful Experiences in Port Development.
