| | | Acquisition of a new cargo vessel for Transport Desgagnés
On February 3, 2004, the company purchases a tenth cargo vessel, the Camilla Desgagnés. It's a Sto-Ro-Lo sideloader with a gross tonnage of 10,085, equipped with helling tanks, which allows, by air pressure transfer in the ballast tanks, to make the ship roll from one side to the other in a very controlled fashion. Therefore, when it is sailing in ice laden waters, this procedure allows it to make the water around it move and therefore prevent ice from forming around its hull.
This vessel will operate mainly in the Eastern Canadian Arctic and continues the expansion of Desgagnés Transarctik Inc.
