Vessels specially designed to navigate through ice, managers who understand their clients' specific needs, crews accustomed to the harshest sea conditions, and special unloading techniques, Desgagnés Transarctik, a Groupe Desgagnés subsidiary that has been operating in the Eastern Canadian Arctic for over 40 years.

Serving Nunavik
Desgagnés Transarctik is the busiest shipping firm in the Northern Québec. From July to October, the regular trips supply over 14 Inuit communities with a variety of goods. Nunavik landscape extends North of 55th parallel: it is exposed to strong winds velocity, which is increased by the absence of trees and a temperature oscillating around 12oC during the few warm days of the short arctic summers. The fleet of vessels supplying these communities is specially designed for navigation through ice. The highly qualified crew as well as the experienced administrative personnel ensure the quality and the reliability of the service.
